[glow=navy,1,000]"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the stone for a clan meeting!" The words drifted to the Warriors' Den where Nighteye was sleeping peacefully. Her ear twitched and Nighteye jumped up and started grooming quickly. Mouse-brain, she thought. You dozed off right before you were supposed to get ready for Leopardkit's apprentice naming ceremony. Nighteye smoothed her ruffled fur and stepped out into the clearing. Sunlight spilled down through the weeping willows' canopy and made the river beside the camp seem to sparkle as if there was diamonds in its surface. Nighteye saw with horror that all the RiverClan cats were gathered beneath the Stone and Nighteye positioned herself next to an elder, Wearystep (Just made him up.) Nighteye nodded at Wearystep and he nodded back in acknowledgement. Nighteye could feel anxiety make her fur stand on end as Leopardkit sleepily walk out of the nursery. Nighteye felt a glow of pride surge through her and she sat straighter. She saw Leopardkit then run to the head of the group. Nighteye purred with affection and turned her attention back to Cedarstar.[/glow]

OOC: thanks for that clan meeting i would have forgot
Cedarstar starred down at his clan. He starred at leopardkit and Nighteye. He watched the apprentice and the mentor as he waited.
Leopardkit starred up at cedarstar. I am becoming an apprentice! he thought as he starred over at his mother. He was so excited he felt as if he could take on a badger.

Leopardkit was trembling with excitement and Nighteye purred with a ting of amusement. She leaned down and licked the top of his head. "Patience, Leopardkit. Do you have any thought of who your mentor is going to be?" She hoped that he would want her to be his mentor. She felt close to the kit and constantly worried about him when he went tromping off by himself.[/glow] |

Cedarstar began to speak.
"Leopardkit." She flicked her tail. "From this day forward, until he earns his warrior name, this apprentice shall be known as Leopardpaw."
The leader paused to search out the apprentice's mentor in the crowd of cats.
"Nighteye. You are an experienced warrior and an asset to this Clan. Pass to Leopardkit the skills you were taught, and teach him the ways of the warrior code."
He couldn't help adding the last bit about the warrior code. Kit or not, adopted or not, Leopardkit was not of this clan, with unknown blood. He could not be expected to know the warrior code right away. He could not be expected to behave like a clan cat right away.
A proud flare flickered in Leopardpaw's eyes. I am an apprentice, now. He laughed. Though suddenly his heart grew dim as he thought of his mother. Was she watching him? Where is Nighteye? he thought as he searched through the crowd. He wanted to talk to nighteye about his training.

[glow=navy,1,000]Nighteye nodded. "I will do my best to take care of Leopardpaw, Cedarstar." Nighteye walked out from the crowd and she stood in front of Leopardpaw and touched noses with him. Nighteye held back a purr of amusement as Leopardpaw crashe his nose into hers. Even though Nighteye's eyes watered, it was very amusing. Nighteye purred when the whole of the Clan chanted. "Leopardpaw! Leopardpaw!" Nighteye joined in and she flicked Leopardpaw across the face with her tail. "Ready to start training, Leopardpaw?" She could easily tell that he was getting very energetic already. "First, I'll show you the borders and then we'll come back and have a bite to eat." She turned around and started walking out of the camp.[/glow]

"Hold on, Nighteye i have an announcement." he said as he looked through the crowd of cats. "As you know we have a new clan in the forest. Many of our clan members have reported seeing signs of these cats on our land. Like fresh scents. I will need a full search of this land before any cat trains or hunts. We will go out in patrols tonight. Make sure no cat is out alone. We cannot afford losing our cats. That is all." he said as he stepped down from the rock. He had heard of the signs and had a bad feeling about the rogue clan.

[glow=navy,1,000]Nighteye hissed with rage. "I'm going to be in that patrol whether you like it or not, Cedarstar." Her yellow eyes were bruning with excitement. And her unsheathed claws scraped at the ground as if it were flesh. "Wait, Cedarstar!" Nighteye ran up to him with Leopardpaw hot on her heels. "Will I be able to train Leopardpaw in the camp at least?"[/glow]

"I know your going to be in that patrol." He said as he gave her an odd look. "I never said you were not. You will not only be going on that patrol but leading it. Better yet why not bring leopardpaw with you on the patrol. Renewing scent markings is the best training." He said as he starred at the little apprentice.
When Cedarstar said those words leopardpaw couldn't help his squeal of joy. He was going on a patrol. My very first patrol! I have to show nighteye what i can do. he thought as he starred into the woods.
"Now go ahead and take your patrols to the borders. Look for any new scents. Plus renew ours. I dont want another scent of Darkness on our land." Cedarstar said as he jumped down from the rock and made his way to his den.

Silverflash sat in the shadows of the clearing, her eyes trained on leopardpaw. She purred and headed over to Leopardpaw. "Congrats leopardpaw," She meowed with a nodd before backing off slightly. She turned to Nighteye and murmured, "Congratulations to both of you."

SIlverflash looked from Nighteye to Leopardpaw. She dipped her head respectfully and meowed, "May StarClan watch over you in your training." She expected a look of suspicion or astonishment to follow her, so she turned and padded off to organize more patrols.

leopardstrom padded up to leopardpaw."congratulations i can certainly think you will be a honored warrior." leopardstrom looked down at the newest apprentice and smiled before turning to go to her den.

"Thank you, leopardstorm." leopardpaw said as he starred back over at his mentor. "When are we going on the patrol?" he asked as his paws tingled with joy. I'm gonna rip those cats apart. he thought as he threw his claws around in the air.
